The vapore collection, consisting of five pieces (table, bookcase, mirror, console, corner console), explores an ancient, complex and increasingly rare working technique: solid wood steam bending.
The project allowed to manage a physical property of steam-bent solid wood, i.e. the propensity to expand and return to its original position once out of the mold, as if memory shaped.
The relationship between curved wood and glass, between nature and artifice is emphasized by the use of handmade silver-shading technique of glass, which increases the perception of the project sign.
The aim is to avoid open and emphasized curves, pushing the production process to its extreme in order to reach the wood’s maximum bending radius.
This limit has inspired the creation of formal landscapes, in which a continuous line in curved beech, the glass top and the volumes, create a tension in the structure in which all the elements are linked together and functional.
